Birds of America by John James Audobon (click for more)

Since this is a work of a naturalist who was particularly interested in birds it was painted to be published in a book about birds. This was when some new species across America were discovered, drawn and written about. A whole science came into existence that studied the peculiarities of the newfound variety of life. Their behavior was interesting and their ways intriguing. We share a planet with other creatures and our relationship with them is worth contemplating about.
