You ask me why I dwell in the green mountain;
I smile and make no reply for my heart is free of care.
As the peach-blossom flows downstream
and is gone into the unknown,
I have a world apart that is not among men.
Living a solitary life in the mountains may look like an ascetic lifestyle but its comfort is only known to one who dwells in the thick of mountain forest. This is why people in search of enlightenment head to the mountains. A common man may not understand the reasons to quit a busy life for a quiet one but mountains have secrets which are revealed only to the daring.
