Nature Tutor, conceived by architects and artists Mashal and Umair, is a tribute to the harmonious interplay evident in all aspects of nature. It exalts the beauty and intricacy of the natural world through diverse visual and artistic expressions. The artwork and media showcased on this platform delve into the intrinsic significance of natural processes and their evolution, imparting a profound message for humanity.

Mashal Zaheer, the founder of NatureTutor Ltd, is a multidisciplinary artist, blending the realms of architecture, interior design, and manuscript illumination. Her creations serve as both an extension of and homage to the intrinsic beauty found in nature. With a deep reverence for traditional craftsmanship, Mashal's work reflects a longing for the ethereal beauty often overlooked in contemporary interpretations. Her pieces pay tribute to the meticulous artistry of traditional practices, harmonizing with the mathematical precision and organic allure of botanical forms.

Graduating as an architect in 2015, Mashal furthered her education by earning a Master's degree in Interior Design in 2018. Immersed in the art of manuscript illumination, she apprenticed under the guidance of Master Illuminator Zahra Masoumigalojeh. Mashal's artistic journey has been showcased in numerous group exhibitions over the past three years, each piece bearing witness to her passion for intertwining nature, tradition, and artistic expression.

A multidisciplinary designer, Umair Zia founded the Living Systems Design Research Group at the National College of Arts, Lahore, in 2010, where he pioneered the synergistic design process for nature gadgets, merging craftsmanship and nature to deliver projects in line with principles of technological sustainability. Umair became a regular assistant professor at NCA in 2017.

Umair graduated as an architect in 2011 and received his first Master’s degree in Architecture in 2015. His work has garnered recognition at prestigious events such as the Venice Art Biennale (2017), the Arctic Perspective Initiative (2015), The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (2011), and various local and international platforms.

Umair Zia’s art stems from the theoretical premise that life emerges as a synergistic outcome of the design processes in nature. It is only through the reorganization of atoms in a specific manner that life manifests itself. Zia’s art serves as an extension of Sir Richard Buckminster Fuller’s vision of a world that caters to the needs of all.
